Expansion of dynamic range of all-optical intensity equalizer based on effective self-phase-modulation by using pre-chirped signals
To cope with a large intensity fluctuation of optical signals in optical networks, we expand the dynamic range of our proposed all-optical intensity equalizer by using effective self-phase modulation with pre-chirped signals. We have numerically confirmed a remarkable effect of proposed SPM alleviation method by pre-chirped signals for achieving a large dynamic range beyond those of the conventional SPM-based techniques.
