The article discusses the impact of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) technology on the formation of students basic skills in the process of professional training. A review of the positive aspects and problems of introducing such education in higher educational institutions is given. The analysis of various pedagogical tools contributing to the development of Complex Problem Solving, Critical Thinking and Creativity, which are necessary for the successful interaction of a future specialist with the outside world, for effective socialization, is carried out. It also examines the impact of CLIL technology on students learning motivation, which affects the quality of learning. The conducted experimental study allows us to show the interconnection of professional training in a foreign language with an increase in the level of basic skills formation. The relationship with the Federal State Educational Standard, which is necessary for the successful implementation of CLIL at the university, is also noted. A modern student needs not only modern educational methods, but also innovative assessment, which allows him to track his own progress independently, which is important for a future professional. The article also notes the beneficial effects of ICT (information and communication technology) on the creation and use of didactic materials.
