As the cost of machines varies proportionally to its reliability status, studies have been conducted throughout the world to achieve one ultimate goal – to produce a machine with higher reliability and minimum cost spent in manufacturing it. Several methods to improve the current reliability of the machines were reviewed here. The reviews were done on the subject of reliability of electrical machines with highlights of its importance and contribution to the real-time applications.
