The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum that has been enacted needs to be developed to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Development of Curriculum 2013 that is relevant to the development of our time and the technological advancement as an effort to improve the quality of education in Indonesia is still relatively low. The development of the Curriculum 2013 requires the support of all schools and communities to realize the goal of applying the Curriculum 2013 to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The research method is the descriptive qualitative method based on Library research, so this research describes the results of many re-analyzed researches. The findings of this research include (1) curriculum development 2013 answering internal challenges that refer to eight National Education Standards which include content standards, process standards, graduate competency standards, educator standards and education personnel, equipment and infrastructure standards, management standards, financing standards, and educational assessment standards (2) The development of Curriculum 2013 greatly utilizes technological progress as a mean of education that is relevant to the development of the times, and (3) The effectiveness or success of applying the Curriculum 2013 is determined by the management factor at school and the class level.
