Event-Driven Production Control based on Sensor Events
Identification and prompt reaction of unforeseen events are becoming increasingly important for companies. The event-driven architecture therefor provides the informational solution for a smoothly integration of sensor events in the existing IT infrastructure. An exact specification of the events to be processed is essential. In this article a procedure for building an event model for production control and the basic properties of the model will be presented. In a higher abstraction layer those are the control variables of production control. On a lower level status data of production for real-time feedback is delivered by basic sensor-events and machine data logging.
