摘要

针对车牌检测算法中常用的垂直Sobel算子,提出了一种鲁棒、实时的车牌边缘密度和强度增强方法。该方法利用两次二维离散小波变换(DWT)的HL子带特征,显著突出车牌垂直边缘,抑制周围背景噪声。然后,结合局部递归Otsu分割和形态闭合算子,利用正交投影直方图分析,方便地提取和定位车牌。实验结果表明,基于2级二维Haar DWT的LPD系统在检测率方面优于传统的垂直Sobel算子和1级二维Haar DWT。
