In order to explore the ultrasonic characteristics of partial discharge of oil/paper insulation system, a partial discharge detection platform based on ultrasonic method is developed in this paper. Based on the platform, the ultrasonic signal filtering method is analyzed, and the typical defect model of oil/paper insulation is built and tested in the laboratory, obtaining partial discharge signal of typical defective.
