Development of Automated LED Light Compensation System for Lycopersicon Esculentum
There are two colors that help in the production of a plant. These are red and blue lights. The red light is responsible for the fruit bearing and flowering of the plant while the blue light is responsible for photosynthesis. The objective of the study is to create and develop an automated light compensation device that gives the plant sufficient light using LED during the night and notifies through text message. A plant is planted and observed using three setups: traditional, sunlight and light compensation and pure LED setups. Every time the Real Time Clock (RTC) ticks at exactly 6:00, the LED lights in pure LED setup turns on and off in the sunlight and light compensation setup. When it ticks at exactly 18:00, the LED lights in pure LED setup turns off and on in the sunlight and light compensation setup. As a result, it showed that the developed light compensation system is working properly having a success rate above 70% in all functions of the device.
