The results of the research obtained in the RID 4D project titled \"Impact of the use of Intelligent Transport Systems services on the level of road safety\" financed by the National Center for Research and Development and the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (DZP/RID-I-41/7/NCBR / 2016 agreement). The article describes an attempt to assess the economic effects of implementing selected ITS solutions. Based on the impact of selected ITS solutions on the speed of driving, an assessment was made of the increase of safety on the road, using as a measure the number of people killed, severely and slightly injured.
