The volume edited by Collini, which can be seen as the last stage in an almost twenty year-long research project, presents files and collections of 17,000 letters to Oreste Macri, housed in the Bonsanti Archive in Florence. An appendix contains annotated transcriptions of his letters to Giuseppe De Robertis, Giuseppe Ravegnani, Mario Marti and Giorgio Barberi Squarotti.
