Based on the formulae derived, the pulse-echo responses of the multilayer transducers under various excitation signals were calculated and compared with those achievable with an equivalent PZT transducer. Also, the influence of a tissue layer on the transducer responses was examined. The simulation results indicated that the switchable Barker code transducer design outperforms all other transducer designs analyzed with respect to the axial resolution and overall sensitivity in the medical imaging frequency range. To verify the simulation results, several prototypes of multilayer transducers were fabricated and tested in water. 摘要

为了提高压电聚合物换能器的脉冲回波灵敏度,同时保持其宽频带特性,提出了几种多层换能器的设计方法。本文给出了三种多层换能器的公式,即巴克码多层、折叠多层和可切换巴克码多层换能器。在此基础上,计算了多层换能器在不同激励信号下的脉冲回波响应,并与等效PZT换能器的脉冲回波响应进行了比较。同时,研究了组织层对换能器响应的影响。仿真结果表明,在医学成像频率范围内,可切换巴克码换能器设计在轴向分辨率和整体灵敏度方面优于所有其他换能器设计。为了验证仿真结果,制作了几个多层换能器原型并在水中进行了测试。实验结果与相应的计算机预测结果吻合较好。
