At the same time, microcontrollers will add new abilities to the internet of things (IoT). In this survey, the research trend, the concepts, fundamental components of IOT, the challenges, and IOT applications in agriculture are examined. Firstly, the numbers of published papers in this field reviewed. Secondly, IOT definition and IOT architecture together with its layers are introduced.
