Internal change begins with the ability of senior lecturers because they are at the forefront in following changes. Organizational commitment is evidenced by the high quality of the lecturers’ work ability. This study utilized combined research methods or exploratory mix methods with data taken from forlap dikti and Sinta, and quantitative and qualitative analysis using WAI (Work Ability Index). Results of the study showed that the work ability of senior lecturers is lacking (0.1-1), while organizational commitment is still low as evidenced by the results of scientific journals during the past three years.
