The paper also discusses the various challenges confronting the University education in Nigeria which range from lack of sound strategic plan, poor leadership, ineffective teaching and learning, poor researching activities, inadequate infrastructure facilities, poor funding, unfavorable internal and international outlook or reputation (staff, students, and research), academic corruption and fraud, low international ranking and lack of modern laboratories. Nigerian Universities and their Sustainability: Challenges and Way Forward
