[Telethermography in the examination and treatment of patients with acute respiratory viral infections].
Results are reported of thermographic examination of 51 patients with acute respiratory viral infections. It was established that the patients showed an increase of the radiation temperature of the skin of the nose, floor of the auricle, in the projection of the sternocleidomastoid muscles and increased submaxillary lymphatic nodes independent of the etiological factor and disease severity grade. Hyperthermia of the nose on thermograms was more frequently observed in patients with rhinitis. Informative were differences in the temperatures between the external auditory meatus and the lobule of the ear which decrease in the acute period of the disease in accordance with its severity. In most convalescents normalization of the thermal picture of the face coincides by terms with clinical convalescence while hyperthermia of the neck is maintained for a longer time.
