Single-sided supercontinuum generation by high order mode excitation in a photonic crystal fibre
We report about a novel kind of supercontinuum generation in a photonic crystal fibre in which the spectral broadening occurs only on the blue side of the pump wavelength. Along with experimental data we present a theoretical explanation for the observed phenomena which is supported by the results of a set of numerical simulations.
