Gingival depigmentation is a periodontal plastic surgical procedure that reduces or eliminates the degree of pigmentation. Different treatment modalities for gingival depigmentation have been documented, such as scalpel, electrosurgery, diamond burs, chemical methods, cryosurgery, lasers, and micro-needling with ascorbic acid.
