The main aim of this paper is Line and Word Segmentation of text document written in script using mid-point detection technique. Accuracy of line Segmentation plays very important role in Optical Character Recognition (OCR), because in OCR system there are many other phases which highly depend on the accuracy of the segmented line. The proposed method is evaluated in terms of accuracy and compared with the existing methods. Two different handwritten scanned images have been taken as input images for line and word segmentation.
