The Residences of the Royal House of Savoy (Unesco World Heritage Site since 1997) remind its citizens and visitors that it was the first capital of Italy. \n \nToday Torino is still an important cultural and business center, continuously oriented to the future (\"Always on the move\" was the motto of the 2006 Olympic Games, which took place on the surrounding Alps).
