On the example of the Russian city of Tyumen, the main Respublika street is analyzed, where intersections with an exclusive pedestrian phase with the possibility of crossing diagonally are identified. An experiment was carried out to establish the proportion of pedestrians crossing in a diagonal direction. At the same time, it was found that at the intersections under study, this type of transition does not comply with the traffic rules.
