In this paper, we transfer the commercial aquaponic system to the home / urban one. That is, this paper not only adjusts the ratio of fish and plants, but also reduces food miles and carbon emission. The main goal is keeping self-sustaining. According to our experimental results, the number of fish can be reduced from 30 to 15, and the number of planted plants is increased from 20 to 30.
