Accordingly, numerous scientific studies on leadership have been published. While most leadership studies have focused on discovering the specific characteristics, behaviors, and styles associated with successful leadership, few studies have attempted to directly understand the nature and consequences of so-called dysfunctional, toxic leadership. Therefore, the aim of the study is to examine the studies in the literature on toxic leadership. Descriptive content analysis method was used as the research method of the study. For this purpose, the articles and thesis studies that were researched and accessible between 2003 and 2020 were examined. A total of 80 studies were reached between the relevant years. The contents of these studies in the literature and obtained were analyzed and interpreted. As a result of the research, it is seen that toxic leadership is found in education, textile, tourism and health organizations. In addition, as a result of the research, the level of burnout of toxic leadership, organizational cynicism, organizational silence, organizational trust, psychological capital and so on. It was seen that it affects concepts.
