To this end, based on the performance of the participants on the Quick Placement Test, the researcher recruited 100 participants through availability sampling. To determine the strategies that the participants employ for learning English vocabulary, Schmitt’s taxonomy of vocabulary learning (VL) strategies questionnaire was administered. Also, the Spearman correlation was run to determine the correlation between various levels of anxiety and different VL strategies. The findings of the current study indicated that the effects of anxiety can adversely affect a person’s use of VL strategies. 摘要

本研究旨在探讨伊朗小学英语作为外语学习者的焦虑水平与英语词汇学习策略之间的关系。为此,根据参与者在快速分班测试中的表现,研究者通过可得性抽样的方式招募了100名参与者。为了确定被试在英语词汇学习中所采用的策略,采用Schmitt词汇学习策略分类问卷。同时,运用Spearman相关来确定不同焦虑水平与不同VL策略之间的相关性。目前的研究结果表明,焦虑的影响会对一个人使用VL策略产生不利影响。同样,当焦虑增加时,VL策略的使用也显著减少。关键词:词汇学习,策略,外语,课堂,焦虑量表
