Based on the disease stage, disease duration and the assessing method, the prevalence varies between 11% and 87%. One or all of the stages of swallowing can be impaired in Parkinson’s disease. This case study presents a case of 72 years old patient who developed dysphagia, aspiration and feeding problems subsequent to experiencing Parkinson’s disease. This article follows patient along as his post Parkinson’s swallowing status changed and various therapeutic techniques were used and emphasis was given on the use of swallowing maneuvers. This case report highlights the importance of a comprehensive assessment and individualized intervention plan for managing dysphagia.
