More and more popular image processing techniques have been used in this specific domain. The emphasis of traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy research is not the same, so traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy images should be classified before they are processed. In this paper, a simple and efficient classification method is proposed. The key motivation is the structure of Chinese characters and the difference of image composition between Traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy.
