The proposed monopole antenna consists of CPW-fed structure, radiating circular patch and symmetrical slot line on ground plane. By splitting the symmetrical slot line on ground plane nearly feed line, the monopole antenna can control the reject band at the usable cutoff frequency. The multiband antenna of center frequency at 2.5, 3.5 and 5.5 GHz is realized by splitting symmetrical slot line on radiating patch and ground plane, respectively. The results found that the proposed antenna can operate the triple band at frequency range of 2.01–2.77 GHz, 3.10–4.03 GHz and 4.77–6.96 GHz.
