Erosion always comes to prominence in agricultural areas, but it is not only in them that it occurs. Urban erosion occurs due to lack of urban planning and occupation of risk areas. The objective of the present work was to propagate the knowledge related to erosion, soil care, and the way it is present in our daily lives, both in rural and urban environments. In this project we seek to show children, in a simple way, the causes of erosion and how we can prevent it. A presentation was prepared with two models simulating the urban and rural environments. With regard to urban erosion, students participated in discussions about hillside areas and why people move there, and how the problem is compounded by the inadequate disposal of garbage and rain. In rural erosion, some situations were addressed, such as conventional planting and the importance of straw, in addition to sowing in areas with slope. At the end of the presentation it was discussed how to prevent erosion and take care of the soil.
