Leakage current, as one of parameters for evaluating the pollution degree of insulators, which could be continuous online monitored, have a certain correspondence with some typical discharge phenomena. The on-line monitoring devices of the leakage currents have been installed in many places in Jiangsu Power Grid and a lot of leakage current data have been accumulated, which could be used to effectively evaluate the pollution degree of insulators.
