Based on the above context, the purpose of this study is to find out how the symbolic interactionism of gay community communication on its self-representation. This study uses the phenomenological method on 4 research subjects where 2 of them are gay and the other 2 are communication experts and psychologists. The theory used in this study is the symbolic interactionism theory of George Herbert Mead and Blummer and the representation theory of Stuart Hall. 摘要

印度尼西亚作为一个社会高度异质性的国家,高度异质性鼓励了LGBT现象的出现。属于LGBT群体的同性恋被印尼人认为是一个不正常的群体。这使得口头和非口头拒绝的数量影响了同性恋群体与更广泛群体的有限互动。基于上述背景,本研究的目的在于探究同性恋群体传播的符号互动主义对其自我表征的影响。本研究采用现象学方法对4个研究对象进行研究,其中2个是同性恋,另外2个是传播学专家和心理学家。本研究使用的理论是George Herbert Mead和Blummer的符号互动主义理论和Stuart Hall的表征理论。本研究的结果是,同性恋群体在更广泛的群体中使用的象征性互动主义可以作为一种表达自己的工具,同性恋群体使用的非语言是通过俚语、肢体动作、配饰、颜色和服装模型来传达的。有时异性恋者无意中使用了与同性恋相同的符号,从而使相同的同性恋符号变得有偏见。
