In the electric system, directional overcurrent relays (DOCRs) are widely incorporated. The primary and decisive goal of DOCRs is to keep healthy sections in operation and disconnect only the fault part rapidly. This problem contains many boundaries, in which different single-objective algorithms are suggested. The relay settings are defined as the decision variables for this optimization problem. A grey wolf optimizer (GWO), an enhanced version of grey wolf optimizer (EGWO), a whale optimization algorithm, and hybrid whale-grey wolf optimizer (HWGO), Equilibrium Optimizer (EO), and Flow Direction Algorithm (FDA) are used to solve coordination problems as a single objective function.
