Increasing the oxygen content with the air leads to faster burn rates and the ability to burn more fuel at the same stoichiometry. Added oxygen in the combustion air offers more potential for burning diesel. Oxy-fuel combustion reduces the volume of flue gases and reduces the effects of green house effect also.
