This objective is achieved by using the concept of a product-driven system. This architecture considers the product as an actor able to make decisions affecting its life cycle. This makes the piloting system proactive and capable of eliminating any risk of problems. The authors demonstrate in this paper that, for a proactive logistics platform, it is necessary to implement control by a smart product in two main processes: a procurement or replenishment process and order grouping process. To achieve this goal, the authors propose the integration of an infotronic technology carried by product, which makes the product smart and able to control its input and output from the platform. The proposed solution is modeled by Business Process Model and Notation 2.0 and simulated with TIBCO BUSINESS STUDIO.
