The purpose of this study is the generic RFID system development and design of the RFID SMART SHELF system, which is able to find, identify and locate items with passive RFID tags attached to it. This paper is based on author's research results on RFID systems and components design and testing [1, 2], elements of such systems, as well as methods for increasing the accuracy of localization [3-5].
