From the results of the identification there is a problem that the teacher's performance is not optimal because there are some that have not been implemented properly, including not implementing interpersonal relationships such as developing positive attitudes of students, fostering enthusiasm in learning and interacting in the classroom. The focus of the problem is what is the role of the principal's leadership in improving teacher performance. To describe the role of the principal's leadership in improving teacher performance. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive research design. The data collection technique is car ied out through observation, interviews and documentation. the benefit of this research is to make a positive contribution to scientific development, especially in improving teacher performance with research being proof of the care and existence of the institution to the community members.
