A list of species of the genus Macrotarrhus is compiled. A new species, Macrotarrhus (Alexiola) fomichevi Legalov, sp. nov. from Arshantyn-Nuruu Ridge, Dzhungarian Gobi, Khovd Province (Mongolia) is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to M.
