Divorce by Adultery in Peasant Families of the Yaroslavl Province (Second Half of the XIX - Beginning of the XX Century)

The article considers the peculiarities of divorce proceedings initiated by the peasants of the Yaroslavl province due to adultery of one of the spouses. The author’s studied the terms, procedure, and documentary formalities of divorces, the reasons that prompted the claimants to file a request for the termination of their marriages, the results of divorce proceedings. The peculiarities of divorces are examined by the gender approach.
