The results revealed a significant increase (p<0.05) in sirtuin 6 expression in the plasmid cloning deoxyribonucleic acid 3.1-sirtuin 6 group compared to the control and plasmid cloning deoxyribonucleic acid 3.1 groups. Moreover, the transfection of A549 cells resulted in suppressed proliferation and invasive ability, without any noticeable impact on cell apoptosis. In conclusion, these findings demonstrate that excessive sirtuin 6 expression impedes the growth and invasive capacity of A549 cells.
