Empowerment of rural women through self help group in Ahmednagar district

The present study was conducted Ahmednagar district of western region of Maharashtra state. The study of “Empowerment of rural women through self help group in ahmednagar district”. Was conducted in Kopargaon and Sangamner taluka. The sample consisted of 120 rural women members of SHGs was calculated. The 10 villages were selected purposively from Ahmednagar districts. An exploratory research design of social research was used in present investigation during 2021-22. The statistical methods such as frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation were used. The data of research study show that age was negatively correlated and occupation, experience in SHGs and attitude towards SHGs was significantly correlated while education, annual income, family type, land holdings, social participation were found to be positively and significantly related with empowerment of rural women through self help group.
