Discovery Learning Strategy can increase the students' activeness in English learning process. The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of Discovery Learning Strategy in the English learning process and secondly to analyse how students' English learning result in the implementation of Discovery Learning Strategy in English learning process. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research instruments used were lesson plans, observation sheets, and field notes. The results showed that in the learning process using the Discovery Learning Strategy, the English teacher had used the lesson plan as a guideline in learning. In the lesson plan, there are procedures carried out by the English teacher. The implementation of Discovery Learning Strategy in greeting card learning has been going well, it is proven that when English teacher do the learning process by using Discovery Learning Strategy, the students look active in participating in learning, especially in greeting card material. The implementation of Discovery Learning Strategies in class VIII-B had an impact on the student learning result. From the results of tests conducted by English teacher in the class that the implementation of Discovery Learning Strategies has a positive impact on improving the student learning results. 摘要

发现学习策略是英语教师在英语学习过程中使用的一种策略。发现学习策略可以提高学生在英语学习过程中的积极性。本研究的目的是找出发现学习策略在英语学习过程中的实施情况,其次分析学生的英语学习结果如何在英语学习过程中实施发现学习策略。本研究采用描述性定性方法。使用的研究工具是课程计划、观察表和实地笔记。结果表明,在使用发现学习策略的学习过程中,英语教师将教案作为学习的指导。在教案中,有英语老师执行的程序。发现学习策略在贺卡学习中的实施进展顺利,实践证明,当英语教师运用发现学习策略进行学习过程时,学生在学习中表现出积极的参与态度,尤其是在贺卡材料学习中。发现学习策略在VIII-B班的实施对学生的学习效果产生了影响。从英语教师在课堂上进行的测试结果来看,发现学习策略的实施对提高学生的学习成绩有积极的影响。从已经给出的测试结果来看,许多学生回答正确并达到了MCC。
