朱熹对《楚辞》的重视程度不亚于《诗经》。笔者认为，朱氏对楚辞的正面解读，是对作者屈原(儒家)爱国意图的曲解，而忽略了楚国文化背景和炼金术道教。朱的教诲主义使他以非儒家的文化意象为隐喻。
