Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air rebusan daun salam terhadap kadar asam urat pada lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wa’ara Kabupaten Muna. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pre eksperimental design, dengan metode rancangan penelitian one group pretest and posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu lansia dengan kadar asam urat yang tinggi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wa’ara. Peneliti mengambil sampel pada penderita asam urat sebanyak 10 orang lansia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar asam urat pada lansia sebelum dan sesudah pemberian air rebusan daun salam mengalami penurunan kadar asam urat dari tidak normal (100%) menjadi normal (100%) dengan rata-rata tingkat penurunan sebesar 5,15 mg/dl dan Analisis kadar asam urat sebelum dan sesudah pemberian air rebusan daun salam berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penurunan kadar asam urat dengan nilai sig. p value 0,000 < 0,05. Kesimpulan yaitu ada pengaruh pemberian air rebusan daun salam terhadap penurunan kadar asam urat pada lansia di Puskesmas Wa’ara. Saran Bagi instansi petugas kesehatan Puskesmas Wa’ara hasil penelitian ini dapat diterapkan pada lansia untuk menurunkan kadar asam urat dan diharapkan petugas kesehatan untuk menjelaskan pentingnya menjaga kadar asam urat tetap normal. \n \nKata kunci: asam urat, puskesmas, rebusan daun salam \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nAbstract \nAn increase in uric acid levels can result in disturbances in the human body such as feelings of pain in the area joints and is often accompanied by excruciating pain to the sufferer . The research objective was to determine the effect of giving bay leaf boiled water on uric acid levels in the elderly in the working area of the Wa'ara Public Health Center, Muna Regency . This type of research is using a pre-experimental design , with the one group pre- test and posttest design method . The population in this study were the elderly with high uric acid levels in the working area of the Wa'ara Public Health Center. Researchers took samples of gout sufferers as many as 10 elderly people. Results The study showed that uric acid levels in the elderly before and after administration of bay leaf boiled water decreased from abnormal (100%) to normal (100%) with an average reduction rate of 5.15 mg/dl and analysis of levels Uric acid before and after administration of bay leaf boiled water has a significant effect on reducing uric acid levels with a sig value. p value 0.000 < 0.05 . The conclusion is that there is an effect of giving bay leaf boiled water on decreasing uric acid levels in the elderly at the Wa'ara Health Center .
