The secretion mixture of <em>C</em>. (<em>C</em>.) <em>germanica</em> was more complex (21 chemicals) than that of <em>C</em>. (<em>C</em>.) <em>sylvicola</em><span> (11 ones). Benzaldehyde was present in both secretion samples. Hydrocarbons were the most abundant group of secretory compounds.
