The Interventional Group was given GM-CSF and standard-of-care treatment; the Control Group only received standard care. Both groups were followed for the primary outcome (i.e., discharge or death). Secondary outcomes included the effects of GM-CSF on haematological parameters of neonatal sepsis. Results: The mean gestational age of the children was 33.46±2.47 weeks. In the Interventional-Group, 56.7% of the neonates were discharged with the resolution of the sepsis. There was no significant difference concerning the secondary outcome, but the mortality was higher in the neonates among the Control-Group (p-value>0.05). Conclusion: Our study showed no difference in mortality between the Interventional and the Control Groups. The GM-CSF therapy could be used as an adjuvant therapy in neonates with neonatal sepsis to increase the total leukocyte and absolute neutrophil counts. 摘要

目的评估粒细胞-巨噬细胞集落刺激因子(GM-CSF)辅助疗法对新生儿败血症的影响。研究设计:准实验研究。研究地点和时间:巴基斯坦拉合尔联合军事医院,2019年3月至2020年3月。研究方法:本研究随机选取 30 名新生儿(15 例和 15 例对照)。干预组接受 GM-CSF 和标准护理治疗;对照组仅接受标准护理治疗。两组均对主要结果(即出院或死亡)进行随访。次要结果包括 GM-CSF 对新生儿败血症血液学参数的影响。结果患儿的平均胎龄为 33.46±2.47 周。在干预组中,56.7%的新生儿在败血症治愈后出院。次要结果无明显差异,但对照组新生儿的死亡率较高(P 值大于 0.05)。结论我们的研究表明,介入组和对照组的死亡率没有差异。GM-CSF疗法可作为新生儿败血症的辅助疗法,以增加白细胞总数和绝对中性粒细胞数。要全面了解 GM-CSF 辅助疗法的临床疗效,还需要进一步的研究。
