According to acharya Vagbhata, it is considered as an outcome of Kalka Kalpana1 . Dhananjayadi Vati is a formulation mentioned in Yogaratnakara under Kasa Chikitsa. Modification of classical and development of new dosage forms is currentday trend to fulfil needs like palatability, cost effectiveness and global acceptance of the product. Lozenges are one of the popular palatable solid dosage forms containing one or more medicaments in a flavored and sweetened base.
