The study sought to ascertain the impact of coaching and mentoring on academic performance in selected tertiary institutions in Abia State. The study adopted a survey research design. The study employed a primary source of data. The population consisted of 2934 employees from the academic staff of the selected tertiary institutions in Abia State. The sample size of the study was 352 which was determined with the Taro Yamane formula. 15 copies of the questionnaire were lost, while 337 copies were retrieved, that is, 95.8% which formed the basis for the study. The stratified Random Sampling technique was used for the study, while the regression model was used to test the selected hypotheses. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between coaching and mentoring on the academic performance of selected tertiary institutions in Abia State, with p-value = .004 < .05 significance level.
