摘要

物种搭人类交通工具(如汽车)的便车可以促进生物的远距离传播,从而增加生物入侵的成功概率。在台湾,已经观察到蚂蚁主动移动到机动车上(以下定义为 "蚂蚁搭便车"),但还没有研究对这一现象进行探讨。在此,我们首次利用公民科学数据对蚂蚁搭便车行为进行定性和定量报告。从 2017 年到 2023 年,共报告了 52 例蚂蚁搭便车的情况(至少 3 例携带蚁后,另外 8 例携带蚁蛹),涉及 9 个物种。这九个物种中有七个是外来/入侵物种。树栖或半树栖蚂蚁物种,特别是外来的黑可可蚂蚁(Dolichoderus thoracicus),占报告案例的一半以上。蚂蚁搭便车的车辆停放时间从几个小时到一个多月不等(30 起案件发生在一天之内)。此外,温暖季节(春季和夏季)比寒冷季节(秋季和冬季)报告的病例更多。据我们所知,这项研究是首次对车辆上活跃的蚂蚁搭便车情况进行分析。我们鼓励今后研究决定搭便车事件成功与否的非生物和生物因素,以便更好地预测外来/入侵蚂蚁的传播,并制定有效的管理策略防止其生物入侵。
