From the results of photoluminescence properties, all the Tm:CaHfO3 samples showed emission bands due to the 4f–4f transitions of Tm3+, and the 1.0% Tm:CaHfO3 sample showed the highest quantum yield among all the samples upon excitation at 360 nm. The afterglow levels at 20 ms after X-ray irradiation for 2 ms were approximately 12,000 ppm.
