The data sources used are primary data from books, scientific journals and other literature sources related to tolerance, multicultural education and character. The results of the study show that multicultural education has great urgency in building the character of the Indonesian nation. Instilling the value of tolerance through multicultural education to build the character of the Indonesian nation can be done through several methods including integrating multicultural education in every subject, instilling values through role models, experience-based learning, using multicultural learning resources, and intercultural collaborative projects. However, in order to do this, we often face a number of obstacles that can hinder efforts to achieve these goals. 摘要
