After overviewing traffic simulation, various datasets and evaluation metrics commonly used are reviewed. The paper then offers a comprehensive evaluation of imitation learning, reinforcement learning, deep generative and deep learning methods, summarizing each and analyzing their advantages and disadvantages in detail.
