All of the compounds synthesized from desacetylmatricarin, which was isolated and purified from the basin big sagebrush, were obtained in high yields. The structures of the synthesized desacetylmatricarin derivatives were confirmed by NMR experiments. These compounds were then evaluated against the NCI-60 cancer cell line screening.
